St Aloysius Catholic Primary School Together with Jesus, we Love, Learn and Believe

Nervously, Maggie rustled her notes as she was the first person chosen (by the lolly-ice sticks of chance!) to spend two whole minutes speaking about her hero, her friend Annie. It was a great speech, as was Harvey's as he spoke about local hero Steven Gerrard. Lewin worked really hard as he spoke to the class about Raheem Sterling. We all learned lots About Jack's dad, who has travelled far and wide. Phoebe also chose a family member, speaking about her mum. A few of the boys groaned as they learned that Alisha was to spend her time telling us about Harry Styles, who has lucky green underpants apparently! Everyone agreed Shalet did a wonderful job when speaking about her mum, especially as she had forgotten her notes. Jonathon also chose Steven Gerrard, while James explained why he had chosen David Beckham. The most unusual choice, and perhaps against the rules, was Olivia's speech about her cat Mitzy.

The rest of the class will deliver their speeches next week, come back to find out who they admire...

This week several more pupils have given their speeches. It was a pleasure to listen as JamieLee described why her Nan is her hero, while Ellesha followed with some glowing words about her Mum. Mark told the class about Jamie Carragher and his charity work. Those who have not presented yet will do so by the end of this week.

We were treated to a powerpoint and lots of background information when Megan told us about her Godmother, whilst Caitlin informed the class of wht she couldn't choose between her mum and dad! Although Anthony's uncle lives in Scotland, he is obviously a huge influence on Anthony, as he spoke about why he admires his relative so much.
