We are a mixed year 3 and 4 class.
Our teacher is Mrs Court.
Our teaching assistant is Mrs Millington.
PE: Swimming - from 17th June to 27th June (except Friday)
the children will need a suitable swimming costume, swimming cap and towel brought in a plastic bag.
Reading Books - we should read every night and bring our books in each day to be checked and to earn smilies . Our books get changed on a Tuesday. Year 4 can also log into Reading Plus at home.
Times tables - we are having a big focus on learning our tables so remember to log on to Rock stars regularly to rock those tables and earn certificates!
Spellings - we bring a spelling list home from Spelling Shed each week to practise and learn.
SUMMER 2 LEARNING
Our topic for this term is Island Life and we will be focussing on mountains, volcanoes, earthquakes and rivers.

In Language and Literacy we will be reading mysteries and writing a mystery story using the features we have identified. Our grammar work will focus on adverbs and the use of adverbial phrases. Spelling rules will continue to cover suffixes and prefixes. The children will also have challenge words from Year 3/4 list and topic words to learn to spell.
Computing will focus on our on-line life.
In Science we will complete our topic on shadows, focussing on how shadows are made and how they change. We will then move on to study Plants, focussing on conditions for growth, pollination and seed dispersal.
In RE we will be learning about reconciliation in Building bridges and talk about our special places. We will also study Islam focussing on mosques and the Qur'an. Miss Telfor-Clarke will support our personal and social development and help our emotional well being with work based on Changes.
It's hola to Senorita Maria who is going to introduce the topics Leisure and the Summer in Spanish and EFC in the community will continue to support us through mentoring.
Finally, our violin lessons with Mrs Ali will continue and we hope to have another successful recital for you to attend at the end of the Summer term.
