This week, it has been Multicultural Week at St Aloysius and we have been even busier than usual! Class 3's chosen country was France and as we are learning about buildings in IPC, we learnt lots about the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe! We became mini experts in all things French and learnt how to answer the register in French, tasted lots of French foods and even made our own Peach Melba! We also counted to 10 in French, did super writing about the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe and made lots of Eiffel Towers of our own. On Friday, we came into school in traditional clothes and made our own French flags, then we stood up in assembly and shared what we had learnt! :)
But we've not just been learning about France! We've also been learning about lots of other cultures. During the week, we dressed in traditional Indian clothes and took part in Indian dancing and we learnt about Divali and the story of Rama and Sita. We listened to Indian music and saw some very interesting instruments! We also took part in Brazilian drumming and African drumming which Class 3 LOVED! Everyone joined in and found something that they enjoyed!
