Maths and Slime workshop
This afternoon we had a maths and slime workshop. The children had to use a measuring beaker and water to measure accurately in millilitres. They had to measure up to 50mls.They had to work in pairs and had to take turns. They then had to measure again this time using a measuring cylinder and water. They had to pour the water in carefully and with accuracy. This time they had to measure up to 25mls. The children were brilliant and all were able to measure out the water with accuracy. After that they all felt some slime that was too dry, just right and too wet.
The final activity involved the children having to work out how many groups of 2 or 4 their partner had made using toy dinosaurs to make footprints in some playdough. They really enjoyed this activity and using a playdough knife to cut out the groups of 2 and then 4.
