Good attendance and punctuality play a vital role in contributing to your child's progress in learning. The school operates a number of initiatives to promote good attendance and punctuality including certificates and other awards. If your child is going to be absent, you must inform school on the first day of absence. A signed note from the parent/carer explaining the reason for absence must be sent to school when your child returns. Holidays during term time are not allowed and will only be authorised by the Headteacher in exceptional circumstances. All unauthorised absences will be reported to the School Attendance Officer.
Breakfast Club
Children are invited to attend Breakfast Club each morning where they can eat a healthy breakfast, catch up with friends and take part in fun activities. The club is open each morning from 7.45am and access is through the main school entrance. If you are interested in your child attending breakfast please contact Mrs Telfer-Clarke or the school office for further details. A small charge helps us to cover the cost of food and resources.
After School Club
Children can attend After School Club at Playtots and Roby Bambinos, both within walking distance from school, for a cost. Children will be picked up from school at the end of the day by Playtots and Bambinos staff, and will be taken over to the After School Club. For more information about this service, please contact the relevant setting.
Extra Curricular Clubs
We have a variety of after school clubs running each term. Please see our After School Clubs page in the Parents section for a timetable of what is happening each half term.
All meals are prepared on the school premises. There is a daily selection of healthy options to choose from. Children can also bring a healthy packed lunch. We have been awarded 'Healthy Schools' status and would ask you to support us in promoting a healthy diet. Dinner money is paid weekly, each Monday. Application forms for free school meals are available from the office. Children who qualify for free school meals will not be openly identified.
