We have spent this week looking at the many cultures around the world. In Year 6 we focused on North America and found out lots of fascinating facts. We could hardly believe the influence of some very important Americans such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.
Imagining what it would be like to be a pligrim on The Mayflower was an interesting experience and we agreed that 66 days and nights at sea would not be very pleasant!
As well as looking at North America, we worked with Purvi to learn about traditional Indian dances and listened to the Hindu stories. During lunchtimes we happily tasted food from other cultures including Mexico and Italy.
By far our busiest day was Thursday when we had arts workshops, learning samba drumming and dancing, Indian drumming and dancing and much more!
