Welcome to Class 6!
Miss Mottram (Class Teacher)
Mrs Kinsella & Mrs Hearity (Learning Support Assistants)
Welcome to the Class page for Year 3. We are very excited to show you some examples of our learning. Our new IPC topic is Volcanoes and Earthquakes and we are very excited about it! We were set a challenge over half term to design and create our own model volcano from bits and pieces found at home. We really enjoyed the activity and particularly liked watching them explode when we got back to school! Our models are now on display in the corridor outside our classroom...take a look next time you are in!
In English we have been looking at different types of reports and have been doing lots of research about Volcanoes. We then used this to write our own information reports. Miss Mottram said that she learnt a lot of new facts from reading our work!id you know that the biggest volcano is in Hawaii?
This term we were lucky enough to visit the new swimming pool in Huyton and took part in a two week swimming block where we were taught by Gary and Karen. They were great teachers and we all improved a great deal! We can't wait until we are able to go back again in Year 4!
Our new Science topic is 'Rocks and Soils' and we are looking forward to learning more about this.
Alice Bear is staying with Class 6 this week and we are delighted to have her in class. So far she has taken part in a Maths lesson where we have used addition to solve word problems, she has taken part in a PE lesson and even helped us carry out a Science investigation! We hope she has enjoyed her time with us. Watch this space for some photographs...
Please come back and visit our class page again soon!
