Wow! What a brilliant time we had at Breakfast with Santa. We arrived at the Derby Lodge and were greeted by lots of friendly staff who showed us to our own seating area. The tables were decorated with crackers and party decorations and even our own Santa hat. We were so excited! We had cereal and juice and after that, we had a cooked breakfast of sausage, bacon, eggs, tomato and beans. It was delicious! We also had a range of mini muffins. We were so full!
In the middle of breakfast we saw Santa! We were so excited to see him and we waved to him. After we had finished our breakfast we went to meet him and told him what we’d like for Christmas. We had all written lists to give to him last week in class and we had tried so hard to hear some sounds in the words. We gave Santa our letters so he knew exactly what we would like. He loved reading our lists and we popped them in his post box to give to the elves.
All of the children a received goody bag from Santa and we promised to leave him a mince pie and a carrot for Rudolph on Christmas Eve. Miss Wrigley came with us too and Miss Harrison took lots of photos to share on twitter and on our class page. The children were well behaved and they enjoyed the experience of having a meal together in a restaurant. It was brilliant to hear them saying "I just loved that!" afterwards. Well done children!
Having a meal in a restaurant is one of our St Aloysius Child targets and we are so pleased that the children were able to enjoy this experience.
