Wow! What an exciting morning we've had in Cardiff! Today, we went to have 'Breakfast with Santa' at the Derby Lodge. We travelled there on our school minibus and when we arrived we sat with our friends and we had cereal and juice. After that we had delicious toast, and then we had a full English! We were so full, that we had to take our blueberry muffins home and save them for later.
After breakfast, we each went and spent some time with Santa and we gave him our Christmas letters that we wrote in our English lessons, and we told him what we would like for Christmas. He listened to our requests and said he would try his best and we had to be very good all year round! We each received a Horrible Histories book from Santa and Miss Harrison was busy taking lots of photographs of us to share with our parents. We were all so delighted with our books that we sat reading them on the minibus back to school!
When we got back to school, we all wrote fantastic recounts about our experience and shared what our favourite parts were. This has generated so much writing!
'Breakfast with Santa' has also helped us to achieve one of our St Aloysius Child targets which is to have a meal in a restaurant. These are all experiences that we value for our children.
