Today the children performed their Christmas play, ‘Whoops-A-Daisy-Angel’ and they did such a fantastic job! They have been practising for weeks and all of the parents, families and teachers were so so proud of them! They have been learning the songs and actions and lots of the children even initiated their own mini performances in class on our stage. The children were so excited for the big day and couldn’t wait to show their mums and dads their hard work. They loved wearing their costumes and every child played an important part.
The children stood up and said their lines, danced and sang the songs in front of an audience of over 100 people—such a big ask for four year olds and we were so impressed! This was the first time the children have performed in front of such a big audience and it was a challenge that all of the children rose to. It helped to build the children’s confidence as they had the opportunity to try something new and realise their abilities. It was fantastic to see how proud they were of themselves! They learnt all about Christmas being about more than just presents and we celebrated Jesus’ birthday together. It was a fantastic afternoon and we are all so proud of our wonderful children!
