'Reach for the Stars!'
This term year six will be learning all about our solar system and space explorations. We will find out about major events of space explorations including the moon landing and the space race between the USA and Russia. We will learn about the movements of the Earth and Moon and why we have day and night and seasons. We will be researching about famous space explorers and writing biographies about astronauts and astronomers. We will also learn about the features of the planets in our solar system and the gravitational force that keeps them in place. We have already built and tested our own rockets and discovered how forces react to slow things down or speed things up. We know that gravitiy is a force that is difficult to beat.
At the end of our topic we will be show casing our learning by holding a Space Convention. We hope to see you there!
