It's been Health Week at St Aloysius this week! The whole school have been busy learning about healthy lifestyles and we have taken part in lots of exciting activities!
On Monday, Commando Joe came in with his inflatable obstacle course and the children had lots of fun completing the course and racing in teams to see who could complete it in the fastest time!
On Tuesday, we had a visit from the SHADOW dance company who did a special assembly for us and then worked with us to make interesting shapes with our bodies and then create our own dance routines!
On Thursday morning, we had an athletics session and we took part in several different events including 'shotput', 'javelin', 'mini-hurdles', 'long jump' and many more.
On Thursday afternoon, James came in and taught us circus skills! This was our favourite session of the week and we were amazed at the things that he showed us! Then we had a go at using diablos, spinning plates and dancing with ribbons! Miss Harrison thought we were brilliant circus performers!!
On Friday, we helped Mr Phillips with his sponsored run as he raises money for our new library! We did a couple of laps of the field, although some of us took a shortcut across the middle!
What a busy week!!
