We celebrated Chinese New Year today in school and we had a wonderful time! We made dragons in the craft area, had maps of China in the investigation area and had lots of non-fiction books in our reading area. Then at lunch time, we tasted lots of Chinese foods including sui mais, spring rolls, prawn toast and prawn crackers. Mr McKenna had even decorated the dinner hall with lots of decorations and flags! Then at home time, we all received a fortune cookie and some chopsticks to take home. What a brilliant day!
Look at our photographs below and why don't you leave us a comment in our guestbook and tell us if you enjoyed our celebrations.
