Today, all of the children at St Aloysius took part in the BIG Cookathon 2015 where we aimed to make it the biggest and best mass cooking event in the country.
The children helped to make a 'Speedy Chicken Biryani' and they helped to chop and prepare the ingredients, mix them in the pan and stir them and then their favourite part - they got to sample their hard work! Lots of children were asking for second portions and lots of children tried Biryani for the first time and were surprised to find that they really enjoyed it. Well done children!
Mrs Rotherham and some members of our fabulous PTA organised the event and James W's mum and Bobby R's mum came to help us too. The children all had a fantastic time and James M said he rated his Biryani 100 out of 10!
The aim of the BIG Cookathon is to get more families regularly cooking and eating healthy meals together at home. They believe that by eating better, the children do better.
